海岸から続く緩やかなスロープの上に、上下方向にのみ開口部を持つ集合住宅を設計した卒業制作。満潮時には敷地が水で満たされ、住戸には下から反射光が差し込み、引き潮時には下部が庭として姿を現します。海に隣接しながら海を感じられなくなった、東京の開発のあり方への皮肉を込めた提案です。
My diploma project: a collective housing set on a gentle slope running down from the shore, with openings that face only up and down. At high tide the site fills with water and reflected light enters the homes from below; at low tide the lower level emerges as a garden. It is a quiet critique of how Tokyo has developed — built right beside the sea, yet no longer able to feel it.
